The name says it all. That’s actually the name of this eatery (formerly Ace Café) on Thappraya Road, just past the Hanuman Statue. They have a humongous menu offering Thai, English, Indian, German, Mexican, pizzas, burgers and heaven knows what else. You can also have a pint of Chang or Singha beer for 99 baht; a pint of Heineken will set you back an additional eleven baht. You can start off with one of their ‘special cocktails.’ A screaming orgasm can be yours for 150 baht.

Dine From 99 Baht has outdoor terrace seating and an indoor, open air, fan cooled dining room. Most of the 99 baht choices come from the Thai selections. Rice is an additional thirty baht. They also offer two Thai dishes for 129 baht. You have ten selections to choose from. Daily specials are 149 baht and include a pork chop dinner on Sundays and Weiner Schnitzel on Wednesdays.

There are well over thirty Thai mains offered at 99 baht. I had sweet and sour pork which was quite tasty. The pork was tender and the sauce was quite flavoursome and chock full of pineapple, peppers, onions, tomatoes and cucumbers, among others. You can also order various curries, noodles and stir fries at this price. If you’re in the mood for farang food, there’s plenty on offer. Texas spare ribs will set you back 275 baht; sirloin steak- 350 baht and fish and chips (imported Atlantic cod, they say) at 295 baht.

There’s an extensive dessert menu. I ordered apple crumble which came in a large dish and was topped with a more than ample amount of delicious vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. The glop underneath was not so delicious, though; mostly dough I’m afraid.
